Nonpoint comenzo en 1997 con Andrew Goldman, guitarra, y Kenneth "KB" Charman, bajo, ellos fueron los que dieron los primeros pasos para la formación del grupo. Se separaron de su antigua banda Fuse, y junto con el vocalista Elias Soriano y el batería Robb Rivera, fundaron el grupo en cuestión. Actualmente se mantienen tres de la original formacion con el nuevo album Miracle entro un nuevo guitarrista Axeman Zach Broderick
Su primer álbum se llama Separate Yourself, aunque no estaba destinado al ámbito comercial. Por fin, en el 18 de Mayo de 1999 salió a la luz Struggle. Actualmente, está descatalogado.
